Is divided into four sections: 1. Problem: tracking how we came to the "exclusive" and "need for holiness" criterion for admission to the Eucharistic table. 2. tracking how we came to the "exclusive" and "need for holiness" criterion for admission to the Eucharistic table. This would be a condensation of the detailed work I do in A Body Broken. 3. The history and theology of legitimate "exclusion" from the Eucharistic table.

This needs to be covered, as from the second century it is practised, and is probably already there in 1 Cor 5 (the incestuous man). The motive for this, however, is always the denial of God, Christ, and/or Church. This position has a legitimate theological correctness, and needs to be covered. I have a few pages on it in the final chapter of Body Broken. People (starting with the Bishops) need to know what they mean when they use the word "doctrine".

4. A Theology of Eucharist as forgiveness and its ethical consequences. Again, marriage and other sexuality questions can be part of the debate ... as they worry the USA Bishops so much (but not Pope Francis!)
