The parents of five nuns, including Thérèse of Lisieux - Beatified together in 2008 - The first couple to be canonized together by Pope Francis, 2015. The Martins discovered that their vocation was to “raise children for heaven”.

That is, not to raise children for personal interests but for flourishing under the grace of God, being used as an instrument of his merciful love, and sharing his eternal happiness.

The Martins viewed their entire marriage and family life from the perspective of eternity, which made them value everything differently, and gave them a confident hope of being reunited in heaven.
