• many occasions have an additional story as well as three homilies
• Scripture notes for each occasion highlight the biblical teaching or theological theme
• carefully prepared introduction, headings and prayer of the faithful (bidding prayer)
• all changes based on fifteen years of preaching, reflecting and reading
